Tactile is the sense that keeps us in contact with our surroundings. The average person touches around 300 surfaces every 30mins while the average person with a profound disability will touch somewhere between 1-5 surfaces in the same timeframe. Tactile is one of the most important senses to our survival, one of our modes of communication and is fundamental to our learning.
